Twitterpated Share

It been gorgeous weather this week. I even had to use my air con when driving, which I try really hard not to do normally as I love it when the weather is warm!

When we got the Summer Mini, one of my favourate product suites ever, Twitterpated, reminded me of summer with the colours and pretty flowery designs.

I have been meaning to do a share for ages now, and have finally got around to sorting one out for some of the Twitterpated products.  So if you love the products but dont want to buy them all at once, here is your chance to get your hands on some of the ribbons, buttons and papers.

For £11.00 including postage, you will recieve
- 12 buttons (3 each of 2 designs in 2 colours - Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze)
- Approx 1 metre of Pleated Satin Ribbon in each of the four colours - Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride & Baja Breeze)
- 12 sheets (6" x 6") of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper

I have four places available for the share, so its first come first served, however, if I have enough interest, I will do another share soon.  Email me NOW to get your hands on this little package of gorgeousness!!!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
Take care

Rag Bag

A girl can never have enough handbags, right?

Well, I cant.  Here is a photo of my first attempt at making one.

I went to one of Jean's Dabble Days in Beighton, Sheffield a few months ago and one of the projects was to make a lovely little notebook with some stitching done using a sewing machine.  After almost fainting when I walked into the room and saw what we were doing, I had a go and loved it.  I hadnt used a sewing machine since before I got married, but really enjoyed it.

I cut out 38 squares of Flirtatious fabric using the Scalloped Square Bigz die, ironed interfacing on half and then made a sandwich of a scalloped square, wadding and scalloped square and sewed them together, alternating the colours.  The handle is just some of the 1 1/4" striped Melon Mambo ribbon and to finish off,  I cut out some flowers using the Fun Flowers Die with buttons sewn to the centre.

Wonder what I can make next....

New Catalogue Launch Party

I know, I have been a naughty blogger!  I have been MEGGA busy with craft shows, workshops, demonstrations and havent had the time to come back to tell you all about it - really sorry, everyone.

Here is a photo of the invites I sent out to all my lovely customers and hostesses.  I apologise if any of you didnt recieve yours in time - or at all.  I sent out a total of 50 invites with mini catalogues before my open house and so far I have heard that 15 were eventually delivered the week after the event, mostly in a clear plastic post office bag (?) and 4 ladies have said theirs never even arrived!!!  So as you can imagine, Im not particularly happy with Royal Mail at the moment.  Anyway, here are a selection in the different colours.
I used the brand new scented embossing powder, which seems to last about 2-3 weeks and the vanilla one smells lovely.  The other new items are the Tea Shoppe stamp set and just check out the ribbon - no I haven't spent hours pleating and stitching it, its already done!!! and its so soft too.

The small tea cups at the bottom of the cards are stamped in versamark and then I sprinkled different coloured embossing powders on each one.  Im not really into very vibrant colours for cards so it was nice to step out of my comfort zone for these cards.

Im doing a craft fair on Sunday at Langsett Barn.  Its a really small fair which is held locally each month so if you fancy coming for a natter and to see some of the new Summer Mini items, here are the details of the fair.

Hope you have a lovely weekend

Don Valley Craft Show

I have been at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training Event all day today in Leamington Spa, and have been getting ready for our craft show tomorrow at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield so its just a quick post I'm afraid today.  There is another regional training event next Saturday in Leeds, which is much closer for me, but I am demonstrating at Jeans Dabble Day in Beighton so can't attend.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind you about tomorrows Don Valley Show which is on from 10am to 3pm.  The cost is just £3 and there is free parking.

I will be back either tomorrow or Monday with some pictures of my swaps and the new bag I made from SU fabric! Yep, I have been playing with a sewing machine!!!

Right, off to bed I go - exiting day tomorrow so I need to get some sleep.

New Summer Mini Catalogue Launch

What did you think of our Blog Hop?  You can still look through the blogs by clicking here and following the links which will take you round lots of blogs showcasing projects using the new products.  In fact there were two groups of us participating (I am part of group) and there were about 40 blogs in total.

Today, I held my New Catalogue Launch Party and with the help of my fabby SU Mum, Sara, everyone had a brilliant time.  I will post photos of the items Sara and my guests made in the next week, but here is a photo of the table with the items I gave all those attending.

These little bags hold some mini sewing kits.  I demonstrated how to make these bags at the end of the session.

And here are the fridge magnets
I made a larger bag as a thank you gift for Sara, who made the most GORGEOUS little gifts with my guests.  Thank you Sara!!!  Here is the little bag I made for Sara.
If you would like more information on how to make the bags, just leave me a comment and I will do some instructions.

Right, Im off for a lie down, all the fun and laughter we've had today has taken its toll - I bet I will sleep well tonight!

Enjoy the Bank Holiday Weekend

Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop!

There are lots of us taking part today to give you ideas and inspiration on the amazing new products available from the new Mini.  We are scheduled to start at 10am when all the links should be up and running, and all being well, you will have arrived here from Ruth's blog, here.

Here is a scrapbook page I made using the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper.  Unfortunately, as all of our photos are boxed up with the house being on the market, the photo I wanted to use is in the attic (quite apt really!).  Anyway, here is the scrapbook page.
As the DSP is already quite busy, I didn't want to do too much and I wanted to make the most of the clock/watches in the design.  I dyed the chipboard letters from Alphabet Soup with Soft Suede ink and left them to dry.

The rosette behind 'is' was made using the Scoreboard (yep, we now have a scoreboard and its brill!).  I just cut 2, 3cm x 30cm strips of DSP and scored along the long edges at 1/2" increments then creased them concertina style all the way along.  Then I glued both ends together and secured them in a circle - I didnt take any photos to show you how they are made, but I can assure you, you will see hundreds of these soon!!!

The 'Precious' sentiment was made by stamping the letters from the Just Perfect alphabet set in Poppy Parade ink onto Whisper White card (lining the letters up with the Stamp-a-ma-Jig) and then using sponge daubers inked all over in Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight inks.

Notice the label with the stamped flowers at the bottom of the page?

This is done by stamping the largest image from a stamp set called Apothecary Art and then using the matching Framelets Die to cut it out.  (I actually stamped two images and on one of them I stamped the 'So Grateful' sentiment, before cutting the banner section out).

I used the next size of die to cut out a mat of Soft Suede card and mounted it on top.  Before attaching to the page, I pleated some of the new Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon to the back - Im still not sure about this, I think it would have looked better by gathering the ribbon instead of pleating. Then I watercoloured the flowers using my ink pads aqua marker and mounted the banner with So Grateful on top using Dimentionals.  To finish off, I stamped the '4 You' image from Tiny Tags, punched it out using the Jewellery Tag punch and added a couple of 'Twitterpated designer buttons.

Ok, enough of me bleating on, I will now pass you on to Tracy (here) for more fun on our little tour around cyberspace.

And a massive thank you to Alison, the lady who organised today's Blog Hop!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
