Happy Birthday, Cheryl (& a special offer from me...)

I am a bit giddy today.  As some of you may know, we have had a three year long saga of trying to move house.  Well, yesterday we finally exchanged contracts on a lovely old house in the same village where we live and all being well, will be moving in on the 31st May (this coming Friday!) I am so excited that I have a little offer I am going to make.  Read the end of this post for more info...

Anyway, on to the reason you have bobbed on here today.  It was one of our team members birthday this week (hi Cheryl ***waves***) and here is the card I made for her.

Im not sure if you can see it or not but the Whisper White background of the stamped image is spritzed using Old Olive and Marina Mist - I think Im in love with the spritzers now, but I did get a bit messy!!

I used the Stamp a ma jig to line up the images from Field Flowers and stamped in Old Olive and Marina Mist then I cut out the image using the Apothecary Arts Framelits.  The inside edge of the shape was paper pricked and then matted onto a paper doily which had been spritzed to change the colour from white to Marina Mist.  I paper pricked the outline onto a mat of Old Olive and then matted the stamped image on top.

The lacy edge border for the Old Olive was created by cutting some of the Delicate Details tape in half and carefully attaching it to the Marina Mist card blank.  The sentiment was just stamped using the Perfectly Penned Happy Birthday image before being cut out - a little fiddly but I loved the effect.

Ok, now for my little offer.  Last month I mentioned that Stampin' Up! are giving you an extra £25 in products when you order the Starter Kit, so you get £155 in products for £99.  This offer is still on but there are only a few days to take advantage of it
*** the deadline for getting the extra products is Thursday the 30th May ***.
Now, I also offered a free bundle of products from me if you joined in April - I AM NOW EXTENDING THIS OFFER UNTIL THE 30TH MAY.

So, if you join me in our team before 30th May (This coming Thursday) you will get the £155 in products for £99 - plus a bundle of products from me once your starter kit arrives.  If you would like to have a chat about it, please contact me or phone me on 07795566727.  There are more details here about the offer and how to order your kit.

Have a great weekend.

I want to play...

I am feeling a bit down today as I had to cancel going to Julies technique class :-( and I cant play in my craft room as most of its packed away or hidden behind packing boxes.  We are in a bit of limbo too with the house move - long story so I wont bore you with it - but we should know sometime this week if we are still moving on the 31st May.  Nothing goes smoothly where we are concerned does it?!

Anyway, here is a card I made for one of our lovely team members, Joanne.  I used the gorgeous Tea for Two papers and the Oh, Hello stamp set.

The card blank was embossed with the Hexagon embossing folder and a strip of the Tea for Two DSP adhered to the front.  I cut a small slit in the spine of the card, just long enough to thread the taffeta ribbon through, then tied the ribbon in a bow.

The oval chevron stamp was inked and stamped onto Whisper White card then the Oh, Hello image was stamped over the top but slightly off center.  I cut this out with the Oval Framelits and adhered to the card.

The flower and chevron images were inked using markers to give me the different colours and then stamped on Whisper White card before being cut out and added to the front of the card.  To finish off I added the Large Basic Pearl.

I wish I was clever enough to have designed this card myself, but I actually cased it from one I saw at Julies training day in Leeds earlier this year.  We made a lovely matching box for a set of cards and this was one of the cards on show, so if you are interested in attending a full day class to make the box and set of cards, please let me know.  If I can get four people to come to the class I will run it when we move into the new house.

Well, I have everything crossed for our house move on the 31st, and I promise I will update you when we find out whats happening.  Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend - back to packing for me I think (where does it all come from???).

Dress Up Photo Frame

Well it looks like things re moving on the house front, all being well we should be moving on 31st May.

I can't wait now, I've even packed some of my craft stuff away!!!

While moving some things around in my craft room I came across this photo frame I had decorated using my dress up dies.

The middle dress is made longer using the flower trim ribbon, I think this would look lovely on a bridal or wedding card don't you?

The Keppels Card Class

Just a quick post today to show the card we did at our card class on Wednesday at The Keppels in Rotherham.

Here is the slide card closed.

And here it is open.

The ladies loved the slider card and had a great time. We did over run a bit - well, quite a lot really so they didn't get the time to decorate the box but they took everything away to finish later.

I'm going to a full day regional training event with Stampin' Up! tomorrow but have been so busy this week I haven't had any time to make swaps. Never mind, I'm sure when I see all the goodies on show I'll still have a great day.

Enjoy the weekend!

Back To Basics Card Class

Hi there, hope you have enjoyed the extended weekend with all this lovely sunshine?

I had a really busy day on Saturday with two classes, the first was our technique class where we did lots of stamping techniques.  The second was a basic cardmaking class where we made two cards and here they are.

The first one was using the hearts framelits and is a very simple design, just right to build a little confidence for first timers.

The second was using the ovals framelits and some embossing.  The ship image is from The Open Sea and the sentiments are both from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I was so proud of myself by using some Designer Series Papers too!

I have another class on Thursday at The Keppels, Wingfield Road, Rotherham and we will be making a Fathers Day Card with a difference.  If you would like to attend, please let me know ASAP.  The class costs £8.00 each and starts at 7pm.  You need to book your place so I can get everything ready for you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julie's Project Class

Hello!
Hope you are enjoying this lovely sunshine we're having?!

I went to Julies Project Class on Sunday and just look at this...

I'm so excited about it, I can't bring myself to put it in my craft room - it's still got pride of place in the living room.

Can't wait to see what we're making next time!!!

My technique club class is planned for this Saturday, if you would like a place saving, just let me know. I have two places spare at the moment.

I'm also holding a basic cardmaking class Saturday afternoon. I keep numbers small for this session so if you are interested in coming please contact me ASAP.

Thanks for stopping by.
