Its Finished!

At long last, I have finally finished my cover for the 12x12 paper and card storage unit that my wonderful hubby made me earlier this year.

As usual, I decided that I wanted to use something I couldnt get easily - the Spice Cake fabric I wanted became unavailable earlier this year.  But Im just hoping that it comes back in the new catalogue (which as a demonstrator, I get to see on the 1st September - and cant wait!).

Well, here it is

I originally planned for it to be separate panels, tied with ribbons, but it looks much better with the panels stitched closed.  I just need to lift it off to get to the papers, so its really quick and easy, and I dont have to worry about any gaps for the papers and card to be exposed to light making them fade.

It stands about 4 feet high now so theres lots of room for filling up with the fabby new papers we're getting...

Hope you are having a great weekend?

Happy Birthday Pam

Hi there.

Sorry for the delay in posting, Ive been busy being a domestic goddess - cooking, baking, sewing, crafting...  I dont know what Im going to do when I finish my holiday and have to go back to work!

I did my first Cooking Show this morning and it was so funny, I forgot two of the main ingredients for the pudding (ahhh!) so had to improvise but the Waffle Berry Pudding was still scrummy!

Thankfully, I had four very patient ladies helping (or rather, rescuing me). Thank you ***waves***!

One of the ladies, Pam has her birthday today 'Happy Birthday, Pam!' and this is the card I made for her.

Its an A4 sheet of Shimmery White folded into an A5 card blank then I cut an apparture out of the front to make a window.

The daisies are cut out of the same card using the Flower, Daisies #2 die through the Big Shot and then just adhered them using Tombow, overlapping them to keep the strength in the card.  I used the Boho Blossom Punch to make smaller flowers to stick over the centre holes in the daisies and then decorated them with Basic Pearls.

The sentiment was stamped in Concord Crush and is from the Apothecary Art stamp set which is in the current Summer Mini Catalogue.  The Mini Catalogue finishes on the 31st August, and Im not 100% sure yet if it will be available in the new Annual Catalogue, but I really hope it is, its a gorgeous set.

Thanks for bobbing over to see me, im off now to play with my sewing machine - Im trying to make a cover for my 12x12 paper storage unit my lovely hubby has made me.

July Thank You Cards

Hello!
I hope the weather is starting to pick up a little for you now, we have had two full days of sunshine, so I'm getting a bit giddy thinking summer is finally on its way!

Just before I go on to my thank you cards, I just wanted to let you know that booking for my Open Sea Class for this Saturday close on Thursday 9th August.

Please book your place now as I only have 2 places left!  We also have places left for our Stamptacular, so let me know ASAP if you want to come so we can reserve your place.

July has been a great month for me, lots of Stampin' Up! orders and I had a Pampered Chef party too (thank you everyone!).

Now, I have never had - or been to - a proper party plan event (I know, I have done Stampin' Up! for about 4 years!) and I was sooooo nervous.  But it was great and I still cant believe how much free stuff I got - more of this later though...

Anyway, for the ladies who ordered from me in July, either for Stampin' Up! products or for my Pampered Chef party, I made these little thank you cards.

They are nice and cheerful as I decided I needed to work with some bright colours!  Here is a close up so you can see the dimension on the card.

I love how our stamps and punches are designed to work together, here I used the Pennant Parade stamp set with the matching punch builder, Petite Pennants and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.  Colours for the card stock and ink are Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight with Whisper White card.

The butterflies are die cut from the Beautiful Wings and the embossed hearts are from the Adorning Accents Textured Embossing Folders.

Now then, off to look through the Pampered Chef catalogue at the Starter Kit (again) bet you cant guess what I'm thinking can you...?  Tee hee!

Workshop Cards

Hi there
Just a quick post as I have lots to do.

Here are the cards we made at my last workshop (Hi Rachel & everyone!).  As Rachels girls Katie & Abby needed some thank you cards for their teachers at school, we made thank you cards.  Here is the first option we had.

The colours we used were Mellon Mambo, Blushing bride and Whisper White.  The gorgeous stitched ribbon from the Summer Mini was used too - I really struggle to use this ribbon as its so gorgeous!.

Katie needed a card for a man, so we just changed the colours and the stamp set and made this one

Here we used Pacific Point and Pool Party with Whisper White card.

Same layout, just different colours and stamp sets (Up, Up and Away and Butterfly Prints).

Sorry, Have to shoot, lots to do...
