Hazel's Birthday

As promised, here is a birthday card for Hazel, one of my lovely SU 'daughters'.

Now, Hazel has been quite poorly lately, so we havent been able to meet for a natter, but hopefully we will get together soon.

I used the same technique for the 'lace' effect as I used for my Mums Mothers Day card and finally managed to break into my Artisan Embellishement Kit to use the lace ribbon and flowers (to console myself, I had to order some more!!!).  The sentiment is from Feel Goods and was stamped in white embossing powder onto Rose Red card.  Do you see the paper doily behind the sentiment mat - these are so sweet arnt they?!

Now, today is the last day to get a free item for each £45 you spend, so you need to get your skates on if you want some freebies - or even more free products by signing up and joining my team.  I dont know if there will be any other offers in the future as good as the one that ends today - £162.50 in products for only £99!

Mothers Day Card

Well, now my Mums into cardmaking, I had to step things up a gear to make her Mothers Day card this year.

I had had the idea that the netting background stamp could look nice as a lace pattern so I teamed it with Delicate Doilies and Viola's Lace Builder Wheel and I LOVE the effect (you might see more of these lace designs coming soon...)

I stamped the doilies in versamark onto Pink Pirouette card stock and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I masked over the doilies, stamped the netting stamp in versamark over the top & heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the embossing.

The Voila's Lace wheel was stamped in versamark onto an A5 Rose Red card blank, it was heat embossed with white embossing powder and a panel of the lacy Pink Pirouette trimmed to fit.

To finish off I Stamped 'Mother' and the flourish from Amazing Family in Rose Red ink onto Whisper White card then framed it with oval framelits in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.  All that was needed then was some ribbon trim and a bit of bling - those of you who have met Mum, will know she loves anything that sparkles!

Pampered Chef Cutlery Holders

I know, I promised that I would post some projects didn't I!?  Well, I'm sorry but I have been up to my eyes lately with work & stuff, but I do have something to show you today.

Last night I had a Pampered Chef night at home with loads of my friends and family.  It was brilliant and Alison who did the cooking (and washing up!!!) made the most amazing profiteroles (one of my absolute favourite treats) and Mexican Chicken Lasagna.  She also made some Pimms (which I finally finished off at about midnight!!!) I've never had it before but it was lovely - and with all the fruit in it, I think I might have actually had my 5 a day.

As I couldnt have people coming and not having anything crafty involved, I made these little cutlery pouches.
Here they all are, ready for my guests.

The night was brilliant, I just need to decide on what to get for all my freebies!

Here is a link to the Youtube video I used to make the pouches, its a couple of years old but you will see how to make the folds.

I used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and some of the fab freebies from this months promotion - spend £45 in products and get
  • 10 yard spool of 1/8″ wide Lucky Limeade Organdy ribbon;
  • 10 yard spool of 1/8″ wide Calypso Coral Organdy ribbon;
  • 30 Printed Designer Brads: 6 ea. of 5 designs (the colour scheme includes Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede).
There are only a few days to get your hands on the DSP and the free brads and ribbons, so email me now to place your order.

The other items I used were Very Vanilla, Luky Limeade and Poppy Parade cardstock and Delicate Doilies and Butterfly Prints stamp sets.

Ok, off to look at what I can get for may freebies now.  Have a great weekend.
