Don Valley Craft Show

Our Paper Dolls team will be at the Ross Papercraft Show at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield tomorrow (Sunday 27 January) from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Come and see some of the lovely freebies available with purchases during Sale-a-bration!!!

We’ll have some suggested bundles to give you an idea for how to qualify for those freebies. And a few sneak peeks from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue that launches next Friday, 1 February.

The organisers, understanding that no-one has spare cash at the moment, have generously decided to reduce the admission price for everyone to just £2, at all their shows for the next few months (no need for voucher to get the discount).

Hope to see you Sunday!

Hiding Away

Hi there
I had a plan to tidy my bookcase using some of the lovely Comfort Cafe fabric ages ago and as I had some spare time last weekend I decided to play with my sewing machine.

Now, I'm no seamstress trust me, but I am so happy with the cover, it really brightens up my craft room and hides sooooo much too!

It was so easy to make - I just cut each piece of fabric into four oblong pieces (I used three packs) and stitched them together alternating the pattern prices.

Hope we don't get too much snow this weekend, I'm meeting up with lots of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators tomorrow in Leeds and also have a stand with our team, The Paperdolls at the Don Valley Craft Show on Sunday. If you fancy coming for a natter to the show its on from 10 til 3pm and we would LOVE to see you!!!

Hope you have a brilliant weekend.

Making Do

Hi. Hope the weather isn't getting you down. I really don't like snow and its just started again so not looking forward to seeing what we get overnight.

Anyway, some of you may know that we've had the house up for sale for nearly three years now. Not the best time to try and sell, but we fell in love with a house and we really wanted to buy it. Unfortunately, I noticed on the Internet on Thursday last week that the house we wanted has been sold. So to console myself, I decided to make my own.

I saw the chipboard house at one of Jeans Dabble Days and thought it was cute but hadn't got around to play with it. Well, I covered it in some Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and used the Peekabo Frames Bigz die to do the window and door.

Here's a photo with the door and window open.

I will post a photo soon of the cover I made for my bookcase in the next couple of days.

Don't forget there is the SU promotion Sale-a-Bration starting this week, so bob back soon for information on some lovely freebies!

Megga Busy and No Time for Crafting

WOW, its been a megga busy week for me with work and sorting technical stuff out (including problems posting on my blog and doing my tax return!) but here is a photo of the pressie for my amazing SU Mum, Sara.
It is a terramundi pot (a posh money box!!!) as I thought it would help her to save up for one of the many preorders we have from Stampin' Up! or even Convention in November.

I purposefully bought a plain pot as I wanted to decorate it myself - but I got a bit giddy - the rosette is huge! But I made it so she could remove it if she wanted to.

I'm hoping to have a play soon with some items from the new Spring Summer catalogue soon - I'm so giddy, there's are some fabby items to see!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Ps if you would like any information on the items used in this post please leave a comment.

Problems with Blog

Oh, I really dont need any more technical problems!!!

I have been quite busy with lots of different things lately - unfortunately not much crafting though :-(

For some reason, I cant seem to add photos onto my posts right now, so I will keep trying to sort and promise I will post something soon.

Hope you had a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!
