Julie's Jems Swaps

Hello. I thought I would post a photo today of the swaps I made for a day of crafting I had last Saturday with Julie and lots of demonstrators from all over the country.

I used Pool Party card stock for the card blank and a mat of whisper white, I love the fresh look of these colours. The squares are punched out of Sycamore Street DSP and the sentiment is from Vintage Verses (both of these you can get for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!

Can you see the embossed stitching along the edge of the squares? It's one of the new embossing folders, Needlepoint Border. I think it's so sweet!!!

We had a fab day, thanks ladies, and a massive thank you to Julie.

Ok, got to go as I'm going to Jeans Dabble Day in Beighton for a day of playing and crafting. Hope you have a great weekend.

Team Swaps

Hi there. I've been busy travelling and doing training for work this week so I am posting this a little later in the week than I had planned.

We had our team training on Sunday which was lovely, as always, and we always do swaps to get samples to show different stamps, products or projects. This is the one I did.

The huge butterfly (Swallowtail) is one of the most detailed stamps I have ever seen and its a dream to use too.

I stamped the butterfly in Versamark onto Marina Mist card and then heat embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder.

The bottom edge of the card was die cut with Finishing Touches edgelits this was then mounted onto some whisper white card.

A strip of the gorgeous new striped melon mambo ribbon was wrapped around the mat before it was adhered onto a Marina Mist card blank.

To finish I just added one single flower from the flower trim ribbon.

I didn't add a sentiment to the card as the ladies could reuse the card for any occasion - see I can be thrifty sometimes!

Ill be back with some more projects soon.

Thank You Cards

Hi, I'm here to day with some of the cards I made to send out to my regular ladies with their copies of the new Spring / Summer Catalogues and Sale-A-Bration information.

The card blank is Whisper White card cut at 4" x 8" and scored to create a 4" square card.  I ran a second piece of cardstock measuring 3 1/2" square through the new Honeycomb embossing folder and left to one side.

Then I ran pieces of the lovely new DSP Sycamore Street through the embossing folder and cut out just inside the embossed lines hexagons from each piece of DSP.  These were adhered to the Whisper White embossed sheet in a flower shape.  This was adhered to a mat of Pool Party cardstock (3 3/4" square).

To finish off I tied a bow through a button (from the Sycamore Street ribbon & button pack) and used Chrystal effects to stick it onto the front of the card.  Here are some of the others made using different coloured mats (Rich Razzleberry & Tangerine Tango) and buttons.

I hope you have a great weekend.  Mine should be full of crafting (weather permitting!!!) as I have a day playing with lots of other SU demonstrators in Leeds tomorrow and our Paperdolls team training day on Sunday.  If you fancy coming over to see what we rave on about just let me know and I will send you directions.

Happy crafting everyone!

Don Valley Craft Show

Our Paper Dolls team will be at the Ross Papercraft Show at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield tomorrow (Sunday 27 January) from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Come and see some of the lovely freebies available with purchases during Sale-a-bration!!!

We’ll have some suggested bundles to give you an idea for how to qualify for those freebies. And a few sneak peeks from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue that launches next Friday, 1 February.

The organisers, understanding that no-one has spare cash at the moment, have generously decided to reduce the admission price for everyone to just £2, at all their shows for the next few months (no need for voucher to get the discount).

Hope to see you Sunday!

Hiding Away

Hi there
I had a plan to tidy my bookcase using some of the lovely Comfort Cafe fabric ages ago and as I had some spare time last weekend I decided to play with my sewing machine.

Now, I'm no seamstress trust me, but I am so happy with the cover, it really brightens up my craft room and hides sooooo much too!

It was so easy to make - I just cut each piece of fabric into four oblong pieces (I used three packs) and stitched them together alternating the pattern prices.

Hope we don't get too much snow this weekend, I'm meeting up with lots of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators tomorrow in Leeds and also have a stand with our team, The Paperdolls at the Don Valley Craft Show on Sunday. If you fancy coming for a natter to the show its on from 10 til 3pm and we would LOVE to see you!!!

Hope you have a brilliant weekend.
