So much to tell you!

Oh, my word. Have I been a busy bee lately  - So busy that I haven't had the time to blog at all (I know, I know that's nothing new...).

Firstly, I start my new job on the 14th July - really excited, but sooooo nervous.  We have managed to get more decorating done in the house and now that I don't have to keep to boring neutral colours, I have been very getting very adventurous.

Then there is the new Stampin' Up! catalogue.  I have received my new catties through the post today and its has some brilliant new products.  My Club ladies are going to love getting their catalogues when I deliver their orders - brace yourselves girls...!

I have also been getting familiar with my new venture at South Hill Designs - there are some amazing promotions at the end of this post so if you want the chance to get some free products from their range of gorgeous lockets and charms, read the end of the post for more info.

Anyway, enough of my whaffle.  Here is the birthday card I made for my SU Mum Sara.

I cut out two Label Card Framelits and embossed one before flipping it upside down and adhering to the back section of the other.  Here are the items I used, if you would like to find out more, just click on the item.

Now, what about these offers with South Hill Designs?  Well, if fancy a girly afternoon or evening with some of your friends, book a party and if the sales from the party come to over £165 you get free products.

Normally, the free product amount works out at 10%, but this is being doubled to 20% for parties booked and orders placed before 14th July.  You can also get items at 1/2 price depending on the total of the sales and if one of your friends books their own party.  The party I held at the beginning of June had over £80 in free products and two half price items!!!

Field Flowers

Yet another stamp set I've loved the look of, bought and never used - Field Flowers.

It's a great set which lends itself to any occasion and the sentiments are lovely too.

The stamp set isn't the only item I've used for the first time to make this card, there's the silver bakers twine, Hexigan Hive and Banner Framelits.

I'm feeling a bit delicate at the minute as I had a car accident this afternoon, nothing serious thankfully. A car ran into the back of me so I'm expecting to ache in the morning!

All being well, I'm planning a card making class 'Two Step Stamping' and also a launch party for the South Hill Designs Lockets. But I'm sure by then all be fine by Saturday.

Saturday 7th June
12 til 2pm Cardmaking Class
- make three cards using the two step stamping techniques for £10 (£8 to team members)

4 til 6pm South Hill Designs Launch Party
- come and have a play making your own personalised lockets using the stunning products from SHD. No hard sell, I promise. The brand is so new in the UK the official launch isn't until July.

If you a play or just want to find out more about free and half price items, come along. But if you can't make it I've got some catalogues so contact me and I'll bob one in the post to you.

If you fancy coming to the class or the Launch Party, just let me know so I can make sure I have everything (including cake!) ready.

New Toys!

Well, I decided to try crafting of a different kind - sort of scrap booking in a locket!

Here is my first locket using the kit I got from South Hill Designs.

Just to explain how it works, you get one of the glass lockets, then inside you add charms, coins or screens to express yourself.

Here are the items I used, there is a 'bone' (for my cat and dog) a 'bar of chocolate' (mmmmm... Sorry, got a bit distracted for a minute) and the word 'Love'.

The screen to the right is another element which I thought showed off the charm colours.

Here's a photo of the items in the kit. It took ages to put everything back. Lol.

If you want to see more, here's a link to see the goodies on the web.

If you would like to know more about getting some of the items, book an event to get free products (or get the kit yourself!) just call me on 07795566727 or just leave me a comment. I have some free catalogues now too, so contact me to get one.

I'm back!

And had a play in my craft room too - woo hoo!!!

Had a go with a stamp set I've had for ages but never got around to using, Stippled Blossoms.

I can't believe I've not used this set before, the artwork is stunning, so clear and sharp.

Here's a photo of the inside.

I did get some crafting done last week as it was my Hubbies Dads 80th birthday. But I remembered when we were on the way to the party that id forgotten to take a photo - doh!

Just an update on things before I go. The dog is doing great and his selective hearing when we are out walking is improving (just - lol ).

The chickens are not impressed with not being able to run around the garden due to the rubbish weather - but at least their run is covered to stump them getting wet.

Been doing lots of decorating over the last few weeks (that's the most 'papercrafting' I've been able to play with lately.

Lastly, I'm waiting for a really exciting parcel tomorrow (shame I'm out at work :-( most of the day) but it's a starter kit for a company called South Hill Designs.

They produce stunning glass lockets which you personalise with lots of different elements - based around hobbies, religion, family - seriously, they are absolutely beautiful.

The official launch of the company in the UK isn't until July but I thought I'd get in there early (you know me). I will try to post some photos and a link to the online shop tomorrow. If you would like a catalogue (or book a social event!) just call me on 07795566727.

That's it from me for now, thank you for being so patient.

Hip, Hip Hooray it's a Holiday!

Hope your having a fantastic Easter.

I have managed to get some crafting done - not much, but I've had a great time doing something different with a brand new kit from Stampin' Up!

The Hip Hip Hooray card kit has everything - including stamps and a clear block - so it perfect for new crafters and experienced ones alike, and for just £17.95 it makes a fantastic gift.

There are enough supplies to make 20 cards and envelopes are included too, but I decided to make larger A5 cards. I followed the designs suggested in the kit to save some time.

I made all these A5 cards, which left me with 20 envelopes which were too small for the cards, so I made 3 mini albums by just slotting the envelopes together and adding some wet glue to keep the pages secure.

The only extra items I used were A4 sheets of white card from my stash and my SU Markers for some doodling on a few of the cards. I still have the ink spot, stamp set and some bakers twine left, absolute bargain!

Have a great Easter.

Mothers Day Card

Hi there
Just remembered to post a photo of Mums Mothers Day card (Yet another manic week!!!)

It's a 8"square card using the stunning gold embossed vellum, gold foil sheet, crochet trim, gold bakers twine and Typeset alphabet set. I even used my new scallop tag punch for the first time.

The chicks are doing great. There are four and they are running Evie absolutely ragged. As soon as the little minx's stand still for long enough I'll take some photos (they are beyond cute and changing all the time).

Have a great weekend.
