Hi everyone, here are a couple of cards and an bag I did using instructions for a stamp class on Jennys blog for a class using the Forest Friends stamp set. I wanted to do something similar but make it more christmassy.

I decided that the small cards used in the class were a little too small for the envelopes. So instead of having the topper panel in the centre of the square green card blank, I put it overlapping the top of the card, extending the height.
Recipe:
Cardstock, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, whisper White.
Stamp set, Season of Joy
Accessories, Large Oval, Scalloped Oval, Chocolate Chip ribbon, dimentionals

Fancy seeing some of the goodies on my blog in real life?
I will be at the next Barnsley Craft Market on Sunday 13th September (weather permitting!!!) with the wonderful Sara Stamper.
Come and see just how nice the colours, papers and images look. You can buy items at VERY reasonable prices (all funds raised will feed our very healthy crafting habits).
Also, ask about classes for cards, boxes or scrapbooking while you are there.
Or just come for a chat, we always love a crafty chat!
Have a great day.

Mini Scrapbook

Well, my birthday came and went (soooo quickly) back to the real world again. Had a really busy week but managed to do a mini scrapbook, something I have fancied doing for a while. It measures about 5" x 4 1/2" so its nice and small to carry in your handbag.

I used my Sizzix machine with a scalloped square die to cut out the pages and the star on the front from a sheet of chipboard. I used some Co-ordinations cardstock for a few of the pages as they look so nice sanded down.

The photos are of all the pets we have loved (and unfortunately lost) over the years, except Mrs Miggins who is sulking (as normal) on one of the pages. It was lovely, but really sad looking through all the photos and deciding which ones to use but thats one of the things I love about scrapbooking. You remember some of the most wonderful times while pulling everthing together.

I am thinking of starting up some scrapbooking classes before Christmas. If you are interested, please email me.

Here is Rossi, posing and taking a drink out of our water feature in the garden. Not sure if you can make it out but the water feature is a weeing boy! He didnt see the funny side at all!

The German Shepherd is Tara, who was amazing - and even shared our love of animals! She was quite old when we got Mrs Miggins but they were the best of friends. Mrs Miggins is still with us (well, when she feels like it!) but she isnt very fond of having a camera pointed at her!

What a great week - been on holiday, and it was my birthday yesterday!
My wonderful Hubby took me to Chatsworth House for the day yesterday and we walked around the grounds. The weather was so nice we didnt want to go inside (maybe next time) but the gardens were amazing. Then went out for a meal at an italian in New Millerdam, near Wakefield - cant believe how much I ate!
My upline, Sara, also sent me a beautiful card and some other goodies, including a selection of the Hodgepodge hardware - which look so much nicer in real life. Will HAVE to get this set in my next order!!
I made a card using this stamp the other day and have done lots of different colours now, but I just had to do a monotone version.
Recipe:
Cardstock: Neutrals black, grey and whisper white
Stamps; From the Garden, Wonderful Words
Ink; Black Stazon, Watercolour Wonder Crayons
Accessories; Brads, Hatpin (Pretties Kit), Oval and Scalloped Oval punches. White gel pen (highlights to flower centre) Aqua Painters, Whipser White ribbon.

Here is a card using my 'All in the Family' stamp set which is great for personalised cards.

I have done a couple of cards for friends using this set and made the images as close to the people involved as poss (same hair colours/styles etc).

The set is really adaptable as you get lots of combinations for heads, bodies (adults/children/baby), outfits - plus a cat & a dog. You need to use the Stamp-am-a-jig for lining the stamps up but once you get the hang of it its easy.

I also did some distressing to the edges of the cardstock and DSP. I think that the distressing to the DSP would have looked better in Pumpkin Pie but it was nice to do for a change (I still find it hard to tear & distress gorgeous paper).

Recipe:
Stamp sets; All in the Family, Oval All
Cardstock; Summer Sun, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa.
Designer Series Paper; Pumpkin Pie
Inks; Chocolate Chip, Stampin Markers
Accessories; Chocolate Chip ribbon, Oval Punch

Another crazy week where I seem to have been going in circles. Tidied out my craft room so I can actually get in - which does help. Got a new phone (scarey for me...) still cant get used to that predictive text thingy. Have to keep re texting people to apologise! But -the most exciting part was getting my delivery Wah Hoo!! Soooo happy with the Earth Elements re inkers (small bottles of ink that can be used to replenish the stamp pads, colour glitter and watercolour). I havent had much luck with in the past with watercolouring but have really enjoyed playing today!!! Here is my first attempt at watercolouring with the Aqua Painters and reinkers - using one of the largest stamps I have ever seen!!! Its a free gift for hostesses hosting a qualifying workshop. I wasnt sure about it when it came in my delivery as it is very big but the detail is stunning! The colours on the flower look different on the photo (I am not good with technology). Will have to have a play using other colours for different effects me thinks... Recipe: Stamp sets; From the Garden (Hostess free gift), Oval All Card stock; Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Cream bard blank (not SU) Inks; Chocolate Chip, Earth Elements Reinkers - Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel Accessories; Scallop Oval punch, Chocolate Chip ribbon, White gel pen (flower centre)
