More New Stuff & Blog Hop Info

Hi there, just a quick post today to show you a card I made the other day using some of the gorgeous new products from the Summer Mini.  You can start to order items from Tuesday, but as a demonstrator we get to see & buy new products well before they are released.

I was so excited using the new stuff that I even broke into a new reel of the Crochet Trim!

I will tell you more later about all the new items I used here, but just before I go, me and lots of other demonstrators are having a Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop on Tuesday 1st May.  We do these occasionally to share ideas for using new products or other events, so if you fancy some serious inspiration, bob back on Tuesday for more details.

New Summer Mini Catalogue Launch Party
5th May 2012.  The event will be at my home, so please contact me ASAP to let me know if you would like to come - I need to make sure I have everything ready...

Have a great weekend!

I know, I am naughty...

And I am being even naughtier - here are a couple of items made using some of the BRAND NEW items from the Summer Mini Catalogue. We are only allowed to show finished items until the Mini Catalogue is launched officially on the 1st May and I have been really busy playing with my new stuff, so I just haven't had much time for blogging.

I cant put into words, just how fantastic this Mini Catalogue is.  I know, I say it each time we get new products - but SU really have surpassed themselves again.  Here is the swap project I made for our team training on Saturday.
And here is the one my Mum made!
You cant order the new items until the 1st May, but if you want me to post you a copy of the Summer Mini, just email me and I will post one to you.  I also have my Summer Mini Catalogue Launch Party on the 5th May, so you can come and see some of the new items 'up close and personal'.

Just email me for a copy of the new Mini Catalogue, place an order or book your place for my party.

My New Craft Space

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post today to show you my new craft room!

We have the house back up for sale after our 'buyers' (see, I can use their polite name!) decided to pull out of the sale - they decided 6 weeks after putting their offer in, that the garden was too small...!?  Dont know how a garden can shrink in size but never mind.  Everything happens for a reason!

Anyway, we decided to do some decorating the other week, which meant I had to move my craft stuff out of the back bedroom.  It was a mammoth task, and now that everything has been moved into the conservatory, I thought I would show you my new space.

The light is amazing, I've never really taken much notice before how important light is until now.  The other night I was crafting until 7.30 at night and didnt realise how late it was!

Here is a photo of the other side.

I havent worked out yet if my large table will fit in to do my classes, but as its just off the dining room, we can always sit in there.  Not sure how long it will stay this tidy, but I love it anyway.

Oh, before I sign off, there are still some places left at our team meeting this Saturday.  If you fancy coming along just email me to let me know and I'll send you the directions.

See you later.

12 x 12 Scrapbook

Hi everyone, hope your having a good weekend?

I woke up with a really sore throat this morning so Im hoping I am not going to come down with a cold (but knowing my luck, I will!).

As I promised the other day, here is the 12" x 12" scrapbook I made with another of the Simply Scrapping Kits, One Great Year.  Again its retired, but I have some more hidden away to play with!

On the cover, I have used a sheet of paper from the Love Stories Simply Scrapping set as the actual scrapbook has a brown coloured spine which didnt really go with the items in the One Great Year kit.  The scrapbook is one I have had for years (I have no idea where I bought it from, so to make the all th colours coordinate, I used some Elegant Eggplant ribbon around the edges of the paper, then added all the stickers for the months, mounting them on Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Here are some photos of the inside.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Fancy a Scrap?

Whilst I was moving all my stuff around, I found a drawer with loads of retired cardstock and some Simply Scrapping kits.  I decided to use some of them up over the last couple of days and had an absolute ball playing in my new craft room!!!

The brilliant thing about the Stampin' Up! Scrapping Kits is that you have coordinating 12x12" cardstock, Designer Series Papers plus self adhesive borders and accents, all in the same pack.  My problem is though, that I REALLY struggle to use them.  All I do is spread them out on my table and admire their total gorgeousness!

Here is a scrapbook I made on Monday to fit inside some A5 sized tins I bought about a year ago.  Its made using the Love Stories Simply Scrapping kit which retired a while ago, but its lovely.

The band is just there to hold the tin shut.  Here is a picture of the front of the scrapbook.

And here is one of the inside.

I made a mini album last April to hold some of the photos of our anniversary and here are a couple of photos of that album.

So, thats two albums using the kit - plus I still have nearly half of the kit left!!!  Bargain.

Off to finish off my next scrapbook project - I'll be back at the weekend with a full scrapbook using another scrapping kit, so bob back to have a look.

Moving Rooms and Upcoming events

Sorry, I havent any projects for you to look at today.  I have been moving all my craft stuff (yep, ALL MY CRAFT STUFF!!) out of my old craft room and into the conservatory so we can do some decorating. I did this on Friday and I am now too stiff to move!!!

Whilst my hubby as been getting the flooring sorted though, I have been sneaking into my 'New Craft Room' to play with my new products (shhh!!! dont tell anyone, will you?).

I must admit the lighting in there is perfect during the day and its got some heating so I will be happy in there (I'd be happier in a bigger room - but you cant have everything, can you...).

Now, although I havent any photos to show you, I have got some events I would like to tell you about.

21st April 2012 Team Training Event. Doghill Community Centre, Shafton 11am to 1pm.

Want to hear more about all the benefits of joining our team, The Paper Dolls? Well, for our next team meeting we are opening the session to ANYONE who wants to find out more.

There will be a prize draw, make and take, demonstrations and loads of information about all the benefits of joining Stampin' Up! and our ever growing team.

The purpose of the session is just to dispel any fears of pressure sales or tie-ins.  We will also explain what the benefits are and how you can get paid (or get free products) for crafting.

The session is planned for 21st April 2012 from 11am to 1pm. If you would like to book your place, please let me know so I can sort out getting your raffle ticket to you (you need to bring this on the day for a chance to win a prize!).

The event is totally free, and we will not put ANY pressure on you if you want to come along. If you want to speak to us separately after the event for any more information, just let us know and we can arrange to have a chat.
I cant tell you about some of the other stuff you will see on the day (as they would have to shoot me) but I really dont think you will be disappointed...

Wednesday, 4 April 2012

I am so excited, as a demonstrator I get to see the new products coming from Stampin' Up! a month before they are made public.  And I have 3 orders coming tomorrow (I kept seeing more stuff I had to have...).

As I promised the other week, here are the photos of the other cards I made using my iron & wax encaustic art set.

For these I just had a play and made some background papers.  The colours matched some stamped images I had done a while ago using the Need for Speed stamp set and the Hostess set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Its just a quick post, sorry - but I have to clear my craft room so I can have a play (I have booked the afternoon of as holiday so Im having a proper play!!!)

Happy Easter
