Another card using my favourite stamp set, A Rose is a Rose.

Here I stamped the main image onto the Lovely Lilac card blank with versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I placed white vellum over the card blank and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the image for the second layer of the rose. Again, I stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white ink.

I used the scalloped punch to let the colour of the card blank show through the vellum and attached a punched oval of Elegant Eggplant card with an Oval All message.

To finish off the card I tied some Elegant Eggplant ribbon around the card (which also covered up the glue line!!!)

Recipe
Cardstock - Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant
Ink - Versamark
Stamp sets - A Rose is a Rose, Oval All
Accessories - Elegant Eggplant ribbon, white embossing powder.
I have loved doing this card - I do quite a few children's cards for friends but this is so cute!

Recipe
Cardstock - Bashful blue, certainly celery & whisper white
Ink - versamark (for the train track before embossing) & Stampin Write Markers
Stamp sets - Choo Choo & Right on Track wheel
Accessories - Black embossing powder, peel offs (my writing isnt very neat!)
I started making this card ages ago and couldn't decide how to finish it. I then noticed a tiny flower stamp in the Simply Said stamp set and thought that it (sort of) matched the flowers in the main stamped image.

Recipe
Cardstock - Whisper white, pretty in pink, old olive.
Ink - Old olive
Stamps - Fun & Fast Notes, Simply Said
Accessories - Stampin Pastels, crystal stones (centre of flowers).
I think of all the stamps I have now, this one is my favourite. The results are amazing and using the template given to me by Sara (Sara Stamper) the quality of the stamp speaks for itself!

When I first saw it in the catalogue it didnt really do anything for me but once I saw some of the cards Sara had done I was hooked.

Recipe
Cardstock - Whisper white, pixie pink and pink passion.
Ink - pixie pink & pink passion
Stamps - A Rose is a Rose, Oval All
Punches - Large and scalloped oval
I have been trying to think of ideas to use the coordinating Spring Solitude stamp set and wheel since getting my (rather large) first order. All the photos I have seen have just used the wheel to create backgrounds and my first attempt didnt really have the impact I wanted to create. I used versamark ink on the wheel to create the border up the side of the card and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I used black stazon to stamp the panel and then cut out the block flower, layered it with dimentionals and mounted it on black card. Recipe: Cardstock - Almost Amethyst, black Ink - Versamark, Black Stazon Stamp sets - Spring Solitude, Oval All Accessories - Large and scalloped oval punches, Black embossing powder.

I was asked last week to make a card for a friend at work whos daughter, May, is 2 in June. It was an unusual request as it was going to be sent to CBeebies (I think thats what its called - I dont have much to do with children!!!). Anyway, he asked for the card to be A3 or A2 and for it to include charactors from In The Night Garden. It also had to meet the requirements of the TV show - just to add to the pressure...!!

After a traumatic few days trying to get some inspiration - and getting used to the wierd world of childrens TV - I decided to have a go at scrapbooking. I havent had much experience of scrapbooking but thought that the size would make it a good opportunity to have a play.

I gave him the card on Tuesday and he loved it - the trouble was, so did May - and she wouldnt let him have the card back to send to the show!!! I ended up making another one, but changed the layout slightly and and for some reason it looked much better.

The photo is of the second card - which aparently is being framed to go into her bedroom!!
