Wow! what a lovely day I have had today. Its been my scrapbook class and we had a brilliant time - but we did, sort of run over a bit, well, quite a lot actually! But everyone had a great time and managed to take their pages home to complete (thanks for coming over ladies ***waves**).
Here is what we did, two 12 x 12" scrapbook pages with a summer theme.
The colours are Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. I did find some photos of a holiday we had in the Isle of Man in 2007 to add to the pages, but I thought that I would just put the layout on here for you to see.
Right off for a chill out & a cuppa!
Have a great weekend.

12 x 12 Scrapbook
Hi everyone, hope your having a good weekend?
I woke up with a really sore throat this morning so Im hoping I am not going to come down with a cold (but knowing my luck, I will!).
As I promised the other day, here is the 12" x 12" scrapbook I made with another of the Simply Scrapping Kits, One Great Year. Again its retired, but I have some more hidden away to play with!
On the cover, I have used a sheet of paper from the Love Stories Simply Scrapping set as the actual scrapbook has a brown coloured spine which didnt really go with the items in the One Great Year kit. The scrapbook is one I have had for years (I have no idea where I bought it from, so to make the all th colours coordinate, I used some Elegant Eggplant ribbon around the edges of the paper, then added all the stickers for the months, mounting them on Chocolate Chip cardstock.
Here are some photos of the inside.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Fancy a Scrap?
Whilst I was moving all my stuff around, I found a drawer with loads of retired cardstock and some Simply Scrapping kits. I decided to use some of them up over the last couple of days and had an absolute ball playing in my new craft room!!!
The brilliant thing about the Stampin' Up! Scrapping Kits is that you have coordinating 12x12" cardstock, Designer Series Papers plus self adhesive borders and accents, all in the same pack. My problem is though, that I REALLY struggle to use them. All I do is spread them out on my table and admire their total gorgeousness!
Here is a scrapbook I made on Monday to fit inside some A5 sized tins I bought about a year ago. Its made using the Love Stories Simply Scrapping kit which retired a while ago, but its lovely.
The band is just there to hold the tin shut. Here is a picture of the front of the scrapbook.
And here is one of the inside.
I made a mini album last April to hold some of the photos of our anniversary and here are a couple of photos of that album.
So, thats two albums using the kit - plus I still have nearly half of the kit left!!! Bargain.
Off to finish off my next scrapbook project - I'll be back at the weekend with a full scrapbook using another scrapping kit, so bob back to have a look.

Mini Scrapbook
Some of you may remember that in April this year me & my hubby celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary - where on earth did 25 years go...?
Anyway, we dont usually do photos but I managed to scrape a few together to include in a little scrapbook I made at a class with the lovely Joanne - you can see the details of it on Joannes blog here.
For my album I used a Simply Scrapping kit called Love Stories. Here is the main front cover
The inside of the front cover has a pocket for keepsakes - for mine, theres just going to be the two tags and I will do some journalling on them soon.
Each of the pages has a tag and the stickers from the kit look really nice on the tags, just adding that little extra touch.
I wont bore you all with the rest of the photos, but the scrapbook is lovely, I am so impressed with the items in the scrapping kits. I had only ever bought one of them before, but have 'collected' nearly all of them since making the album!!! Considering the amount of product included in the kits they are brilliant value and the quality is excellent.
Thanks for bobing over to see me!

May Scrapbooking
Hi there. Its been quite a busy week at work but managed to do a cute little pull out scrapbook to put photos of my graduation in.
I am not academic at all so studying for my exams was really hard. When I passed I just had to attend the ceremony and it was amazing day. It was about 3 years ago now, but whilst looking at the photos it really doesnt seem that long ago.
The instructions to make the book are on the Splitcoast Stampers site here if you fancy having a go. Its nice and small and fits nicely in a handbag.
The inside has strips of card which is scored and folded to allow lots of additional pictures to be displayed. To hold the card secure, ribbon bows keep everything in place.
Heres a photo of one side opened - this would look lovely as a brag book to show off photos of a new baby!
I used the Medium Jewellery Tag punch to cut out the little tags and then inked the edges with Elegant Eggplant ink.
Recipe
Cardstock - Lovely Lilac, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink - Elegant Eggplant
Stamp Set - Just Perfect Alphabet
Designer Series Paper - Tea Party
Accessories - Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Medium Jewellery Tag punch.
Non SU - Beer mats/coasters.

I was asked last week to make a card for a friend at work whos daughter, May, is 2 in June. It was an unusual request as it was going to be sent to CBeebies (I think thats what its called - I dont have much to do with children!!!). Anyway, he asked for the card to be A3 or A2 and for it to include charactors from In The Night Garden. It also had to meet the requirements of the TV show - just to add to the pressure...!!
After a traumatic few days trying to get some inspiration - and getting used to the wierd world of childrens TV - I decided to have a go at scrapbooking. I havent had much experience of scrapbooking but thought that the size would make it a good opportunity to have a play.
I gave him the card on Tuesday and he loved it - the trouble was, so did May - and she wouldnt let him have the card back to send to the show!!! I ended up making another one, but changed the layout slightly and and for some reason it looked much better.
The photo is of the second card - which aparently is being framed to go into her bedroom!!
