Mothers Day Card

Well, now my Mums into cardmaking, I had to step things up a gear to make her Mothers Day card this year.

I had had the idea that the netting background stamp could look nice as a lace pattern so I teamed it with Delicate Doilies and Viola's Lace Builder Wheel and I LOVE the effect (you might see more of these lace designs coming soon...)

I stamped the doilies in versamark onto Pink Pirouette card stock and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I masked over the doilies, stamped the netting stamp in versamark over the top & heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the embossing.

The Voila's Lace wheel was stamped in versamark onto an A5 Rose Red card blank, it was heat embossed with white embossing powder and a panel of the lacy Pink Pirouette trimmed to fit.

To finish off I Stamped 'Mother' and the flourish from Amazing Family in Rose Red ink onto Whisper White card then framed it with oval framelits in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.  All that was needed then was some ribbon trim and a bit of bling - those of you who have met Mum, will know she loves anything that sparkles!
