Class Project

Hope your having a great weekend. We had our new windows installed yesterday so I'm feeling a bit happier with things on the house front at the minute.

We had our class on Wednesday at The Keppels in Rotherham and here are the projects we made.

Some of you may remember the items are similar to the ones at our last Stamptacular - well, your right they are. Julie loved them so we decided to make them in class - hi Ladies!!!

The papers are from Modern Medley and are really classy, great for using on both ladies and gents cards.

Hope you are making the most of the lovely weather

My Digital Studio Rocks

Wow. I knew My Digital Studio would be good, but I didn't think it would be this good.

The free trial version comes with loads of content - papers, stamped images, punched shapes. But once you buy the package you lots more plus the option to buy additional downloads.

Now the stamp I used on this A5 card uses two extra downloads called Extreme Guitar and Extreme Elements - for the dots and the stars - and guess what, you can make some of the images much bigger than the original image - so there's no limit to the size of some cards. You do get an error message with some images if the quality will be affected by enlarging it (seems to happen more with text images).

I used the Music notes wheel to make the background paper and even opened my Washi Tape and roll of denim ribbon. How adventurous of me?!

The little tag is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto Very Vanilla card and punched out with the Ticket punch. The second tag is just punched out of Crumb Cake card and adhered to the front of the card. Mega quick, very easy and 6 copies made in 1 hr so plenty of spares for emergency birthdays!!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I've been really busy wuth making the cards and sanding skirting boards / paintwork so I feel like I've achieved loads today!

Hope Banner

As promised, here is a photo of a banner I made from some of the brand new products in the Autumn Winter catalogue.

I used four pennants and the jute twine from the Banner Simply Created Kit (132699 £8.95 - I still have 14 pennants left!) and the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (132697 - £8.95).

The only additional item I used was about 40cm of silver ribbon and that was because I left the ribbons on the rosettes so long.

I decided on 'hope' instead of a Christmas phrase so I could use it all year round - I also 'hope' that we have a kitchen by Christmas!

'Hope' your having a good week, i'll be back at the weekend all being well.

Happy Birthday Bro

It was my brilliant Brother, Tim's birthday yesterday so here is the card I made him.

Before the top tab is pulled, this is what the card looks like.

What can I say about my (little, but only in age!) Brother?  He is the kindest, sweetest young man any lady could ever wish to meet (yes, we are trying to get him married off - but only cos we love him!).  Hard working, honest and will help anyone out whenever he can.  The help he has given us since we moved into the house has been incredible.

The only images which could ever reflect him are stars - he really is one - so that's what I used.  The stamp set is Simply Stars and I used some icing cutters in star shapes to cut out the clay stars, adhering them with Chrystal Effects.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM, and thank you for everything!!!

Now then, enough of my ranting - Tim might get a bit big headed when he sees this, so lets get back to some REALLY exciting news for you.

Do you love crafting but are not really into stamping? (Yes, I know there are some of you out there...) Well, Stampin' Up! have launched My Digital Studio in Europe.

Now, If you like just being able to print something off and use it on your cards, but then are stuck getting other elements to match in colour - worry no more.  All the items in MDS are from Stampin' Up! so they fully coordinate - you can use the stamp function in the suite and change the image colour to any of the SU colours - no inky fingers, no cleaning stamps.

Want to add a matching ribbon, button or punch shape no problem, they are all available as digital elements - and even better, you can download a 30 day FREE TRIAL from my on-line shop by clicking here.  The full version is only £13.95 but try before you buy and see just how great it is.

Did you notice that I mentioned above that I have an on-line shop?  I have (here) and you can shop to your hearts content 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.  The delivery charge is only £4.95 regardless of the size of your order and it comes direct to your door - and if you order over £150 in items from the current catalogues, you get a minimum of £25 in free products too!  The site is really easy to use and there are lots of extra ideas and inspiration for you so grab a cuppa and have a look!
