Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Summer Mini Catalogue Blog Hop!

There are lots of us taking part today to give you ideas and inspiration on the amazing new products available from the new Mini.  We are scheduled to start at 10am when all the links should be up and running, and all being well, you will have arrived here from Ruth's blog, here.

Here is a scrapbook page I made using the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper.  Unfortunately, as all of our photos are boxed up with the house being on the market, the photo I wanted to use is in the attic (quite apt really!).  Anyway, here is the scrapbook page.
As the DSP is already quite busy, I didn't want to do too much and I wanted to make the most of the clock/watches in the design.  I dyed the chipboard letters from Alphabet Soup with Soft Suede ink and left them to dry.

The rosette behind 'is' was made using the Scoreboard (yep, we now have a scoreboard and its brill!).  I just cut 2, 3cm x 30cm strips of DSP and scored along the long edges at 1/2" increments then creased them concertina style all the way along.  Then I glued both ends together and secured them in a circle - I didnt take any photos to show you how they are made, but I can assure you, you will see hundreds of these soon!!!

The 'Precious' sentiment was made by stamping the letters from the Just Perfect alphabet set in Poppy Parade ink onto Whisper White card (lining the letters up with the Stamp-a-ma-Jig) and then using sponge daubers inked all over in Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight inks.

Notice the label with the stamped flowers at the bottom of the page?

This is done by stamping the largest image from a stamp set called Apothecary Art and then using the matching Framelets Die to cut it out.  (I actually stamped two images and on one of them I stamped the 'So Grateful' sentiment, before cutting the banner section out).

I used the next size of die to cut out a mat of Soft Suede card and mounted it on top.  Before attaching to the page, I pleated some of the new Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon to the back - Im still not sure about this, I think it would have looked better by gathering the ribbon instead of pleating. Then I watercoloured the flowers using my ink pads aqua marker and mounted the banner with So Grateful on top using Dimentionals.  To finish off, I stamped the '4 You' image from Tiny Tags, punched it out using the Jewellery Tag punch and added a couple of 'Twitterpated designer buttons.

Ok, enough of me bleating on, I will now pass you on to Tracy (here) for more fun on our little tour around cyberspace.

And a massive thank you to Alison, the lady who organised today's Blog Hop!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
