No crafting but soooo busy

It's been ages since I did any crafting but at last we are getting somewhere with the house! Yesterday we actually picked up the new kitchen and ordered the new cooker - 15 weeks using a microwave, toaster, deep fat fryer and a camping stove has been rather taxing to say the least.

Here is a photo of our 'kitchen' at the beginning of August.

We took out the old rotten kitchen units the on the 1st July with a plan to get the new units that weekend. Unfortunately, the damp problem was much worse than we thought so not only did we have to remove all the old plaster, we had to dig up the concrete floor and about 12 inch of ground to put in a full damp course, damp membrane and new floor.

Anyway, here is a photo of the kitchen with its lovely plastered walls

Today has been spent painting the kitchen and putting some of the new units together and I will try and get some photos sorted when more of the units are built up. I'm shattered but so excited we are finally seeing progress at last.

I'll be back with some exciting news from SU soon and you never know, I might even sneak into my craft room at some point...

Birthday Card and October Offer

It's Saturday, woo hoo! And even better, we have plasterboard on the kitchen walls - I am soooooo excited. Anyway, back to crafting...

Here is a card I made for one of our team members' birthday.

I used the Gorgeous Grunge set stamping the lines in different colours along the top then used the baby wipe technique to do the splashes.

The Chevron punch was used to the bottom right and then the mat was attached to the A6 card blank with Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped with largest image from the Lovely Romance set then die cut using one of the dies from the Chalk Talk Framelits.

I extended the sentiment by cutting a couple more of these shapes in matching card stock and cutting them in half. This allowed me to adhere them behind the sentiment with a little bit showing to the side. Again this was attached using Dimensionals to raised it.

There is a cracking offer this month from SU with it being their 25th year. Hold a workshop with sales of over £250 and you get an additional £25 in hostess benefits - so instead of £40 you get £65 in freebies!

I have a couple of dates free if you'd like to take advantage of the offer so call me on 07795566727 to book ASAP.

Team Training Swaps

Hi. I bet you thought I'd disappeared as I've been quiet again?!

Well i am still here - in some form - but have been busy at work and with the house again.

We had our team training on Sunday and here are the swaps i made.

I made them as 6x6" cards using Modern Medley DSP - yep, I used DSP again! - for the bow using the Gift Bow Bigz L die.

The sentiment ( from Sassi Salutations) was stamped into Very Vanilla card with Stazon ink and this was matted behind a die cut aperture cut with the Labels Collection layered dies.

I made several different versions but the card blanks were made using 12x12 sheets of Cherry Cobbler and Smokey Slate Textured card, cut to form 6" square cards.

Team training was all about Convention this time as the team has grown so big and we have so many going. We talked about all the exciting things that happen at Convention like swaps, freebies, announcements, freebies...

Getting giddy now for November!
